UP Diliman Data Protection Team Holds Records Management and Data Privacy Capacity Building Seminars

The Diliman Data Protection Team successfully held a series of seminars in various units and offices in UP Diliman.

The University of the Philippines Diliman, in its aim to educate all employees of the new law, Republic Act 10173 known as the Data Privacy Act of 2012, held a series of seminars to promote effective records management as enshrined in Republic Act 9470 otherwise known as the National Archives of the Philippines Act of 2007.

These two laws must be linked together to achieve the objectives of the seminar which are to make UP personnel, REPS, admin and faculty familiar with the different processes of records management and to be able to understand while developing an in-depth understanding of the importance of effective and efficient records management.
