UP Diliman DPO Shares Best Practices with Ifugao State University

UP Diliman’s Data Protection Office (Diliman DPO) recently conducted a benchmarking engagement with Ifugao State University (IFSU) to support the strengthening of its data privacy program and compliance with the Data Privacy Act of 2012. The visit showcased UP Diliman’s experience and its ongoing efforts and recognized IFSU’s proactive efforts to institutionalize privacy governance.

 

 

During the session, Diliman DPO shared its governance framework, including its Privacy Management Program, the role of the Data Protection Officer, and its network of Privacy Focal Persons across academic units and administrative offices. Both universities affirmed their commitment to continued collaboration and knowledge‑sharing to help build more resilient, privacy‑respectful environments in state universities and colleges.
